As we prepare for this 5th year of the Holy Spirit Conference, we believe that this will be the best year yet! Prayer is a significant part of the work of preparation. For the five weeks leading up to conference, we are setting our hearts together in intentional prayer, asking the Lord to move powerfully in and through this gathering. We have experienced the Lord’s faithfulness over these past five years and through prayer, we are positioning ourselves with fresh hunger, expectancy, and surrender for what is ahead. Each prayer prompt is meant to help invite us into unified intercession for genuine transformation, courage, healing, repentance, renewal, and a lasting kingdom imprint on every life and ministry.

Before leaning into the prayer prompts each day, begin here, with surrender. Read this prayer slowly. Let each sentence become an act of a willing consecrated heart.

A Prayer of Consecration

Heavenly Father, I come before You not in the strength of my own devotion, but in the righteousness of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that apart from Him I can do nothing and yet, in Him, all things become possible in accordance with Your will.

I consecrate myself, spirit, soul, and body, again to You today. I present my body to Jesus Christ as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing, which is my reasonable act of worship. I present the members of my body as instruments of righteousness, no longer yielded to lesser things.

I consecrate my words, my gifting, my relationships, and my every act of service and I bring it all under the lordship of Jesus Christ and under the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, I welcome Your presence now. Come as the one who searches the deep things of God. I yield my mind to Your illumination, my heart to Your fire, my will to Your leading.

I renounce every distraction, every competing affection, every unconfessed sin that would dim my hearing or divide my attention.

Now, Lord, let my prayers arise as the breath of a soul alive to You, seeking that which is shaped by what you desire and grounded in what you have promised.

In Jesus’ name

Amen

HOW TO BEGIN

  • For the First Night of Conference

    • Pray for a wave of consecration, humility,  and genuine repentance to move through the room that opens the door to a deeper intimacy with God.

    • Pray that the grace of repentance will be received even before the conference begins, allowing our hearts to be once again tender and postured in surrender.

    • Pray that every person the Spirit is drawing would receive a clear and compelling invitation to be in the room.

    • Pray that we would be on one accord and positioned from the very first night to receive all He has for us and all He desires to do.

    Pray Scripture
    Joshua 3:5
    Joel 2:12-13

    Listening & Response
After praying, invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart, “Lord, is there anything in me that needs to be surrendered before this conference begins?” Write down what surfaces, honestly.  Share with a trusted friend or leader who will pray with you.

    For Parents & Kids
Ask your child "Is there any sin that you want to repent and say sorry to God for before Kids Conference? Remember sin is anything we think, say or do that separates us from God, but when we repent and ask God to forgive us he gives us a clean heart and a fresh start." Pray together, then remind them that Jesus' sacrifice for them covers all sin!

  • For Health & Physical Healing

    • Pray for a covering of great health for each team member and their families.

    • Pray for those coming in desperate need of physical healing. Begin to name physical ailments that the Lord brings to mind.

    • Pray that a loving God would show up powerfully and personally, meeting real physical needs in ways that only He can.

    • Pray for great faith would arise in the Kids Conference and that children would encounter the Lord’s healing power and carry that testimony into their generation.

    Pray Scripture
    Exodus 15:26
    Isaiah 53:4-5

    Listening & Response
After you have prayed, sit quietly. Ask the Spirit “Is there a specific person you are placing on my heart to pray for or encourage?” Write down any name, Scripture, or burden that surfaces. Share with a friend or leader this week to pray with you.

    For Parents & Kids
Explain to your child that Jesus taught us to pray for those who are sick, and to ask God to heal them. Ask your child to place their hands out flat and pray: “God, put someone who is hurting on my mind today.” Then ask them who came to mind and pray for that person together.

  • For the Visiting Ministers & Ministries

    • Pray for deep refreshment for every minister and ministry that will join us.

    • Pray that their holy conviction, courage, and tenderness toward the people they serve will be reignited.

    • Pray that God would renew their sense of divine calling and confirm that they are heaven-sent to the places He has planted them.

    Pray Scripture
    Isaiah 40:28-31
    John 20_21-22
    2 Corinthians 4:1

    Listening & Response

    For Parents & Kids
Help your child write or draw an encouraging note for a pastor or leader coming to the conference. Then pray together that God would fill them with strength and joy.

  • For Cathedral & Prophetic Ministry

    • Pray that this Holy Spirit Conference would be genuinely catalytic.

    • Pray that the glory of God would be revealed through the gifts of the Spirit, for He puts treasure in earthen vessels. Pray that the gift of prophecy would be received and activated in a spirit of deep love.

    • Pray specifically for the children and youth of Cathedral. Pray that this conference would be a moment of divine marking for their generation.

    • Pray that the gifts of the Holy Spirit would be discovered and stirred up in our youth, and that their hearts and minds would be opened to the beauty of the Church and ignited with a deep, lasting passion for her.

    • Pray that Cathedral’s future will be marked by a clear before & after, as a result of something God does in these three days.
